More efficient mobile effects
Tile-Only rendering reduces memory traffic for supported mobile effects.
Unity 6.5
Improve performance with on-tile rendering Update releaseSuperseded

What changed
Unity feature: Tile-Only rendering
Tile-Only mode validates rendering settings so supported effects can remain in fast GPU tile memory. Avoiding extra stores and loads can reduce bandwidth and power use.
Use it
- Use a URP renderer with Tile-Only rendering and resolve the validation messages for camera and renderer settings.
- Add the on-tile post-processing renderer feature for supported effects, with integrated URP post-processing disabled.
Requirements and limits
- Bandwidth savings require a tile-based GPU and an API with native render passes. Features that sample camera textures can break the on-tile path; WebGL is unsupported.
