What changed

Unity feature: On-tile post-processing

The on-tile renderer feature lets supported effects run before a GPU tile is stored in main memory. The 6.3 workflow targets untethered XR.

Use it

  1. Use URP with Vulkan and disable integrated URP post-processing.
  2. Add the on-tile post-processing renderer feature, then configure supported effects such as color grading, vignette, and tonemapping.

Requirements and limits

  • This 6.3 workflow is for untethered XR on compatible tile-based GPUs. Broader mobile support arrives in 6.5. Not all post-processing effects support the on-tile path.
