Unity Asset Manager — October 22, 2025

Official notes

Asset Manager Collaboration

  1. Change

Spatial Markers Place markers in 3D space and attach them to comments through the Annotation menu. Spatial markers offer precise feedback tools and work well for creative notes, technical punch lists, and waypoints.

  2. Change

2D Annotations Add annotations to 2D assets and files. Animated GIFs aren’t supported at this time.

Asset Manager for Unity

  1. Change

Inline Metadata editing You can now edit asset metadata such as name, description, and tags directly in the Asset Manager Inspector panel when you prepare an upload. This update also supports bulk edits for most fields.

  2. Fix

Enhanced Dependency management You can pin each dependency to a fixed version or a version label during upload for more control and flexibility.

  3. Change

Entitlement and seat details in warnings This update improves clarity by showing your entitlement and seat details directly in the UI. You can easily see which organization you can contribute to, reducing confusing console errors.

  4. Change

In Project tab filter options Find assets faster with new project and collection filters in the In Project tab.

  5. Change

Other updates The new upload logic cancels the asset upload operation if an error occurs and reverts the upload. This update prevents duplicate or junk assets.

  6. Fix

For the entire list of bug fixes, see the change log.
